Yes, in the way that matters: the account holder pays Disney and everyone using the plan repays their share. Disney+ lets people in your household stream on up to four devices, plus one Extra Member from outside it. Three people on the Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium pay about $6.66 each for the first 6 months at $19.99, then $7.33 at $21.99.

Key points:
- The account holder pays Disney and the others repay them. Household members can all share the cost, and one Extra Member can join from outside the household.
- Three people split the $21.99 Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium at $7.33 each, or $6.67 and $6.66 while the $19.99 first-6-months price lasts.
- With the price step after 6 months, the Premium bundle costs $251.88 over the first year, which is $83.96 each for three people.
- HBO Max adds its $7.99 Extra Member to the base subscription, so Standard at $18.49 plus the add-on is $13.24 each for two.
- When a price steps up, stop the repeating expense and add a new one at the new amount. Expenses already added stay.

## Can you split a Disney+ payment?

Yes. A Disney+ plan has one account holder, who pays Disney, and everyone who uses the plan repays that person their share on a set day. The split happens between people. What Disney decides is who may use the account, which is the part to get right first.

## Who can chip in?

Anyone in the account holder's household, plus one person outside it. Disney's wording is that people in the account holder's Household can stream Disney+ on up to four devices at the same time. For someone outside the household, each account can add one Extra Member, who must be 18 or older, live in the same country and have no active Disney+, Hulu or ESPN subscription, and who streams on one device at a time.

Disney says the Extra Member price depends on the plan, so check Disney's help center for the amount on your plan before you ask that person to repay it. Anyone else outside the household needs a plan of their own. [Who can share a Disney+ account](https://www.evenoutapp.com/guides/share-disney-plus-with-family) has the full rules.

## What does each person pay on a bundle?

On a bundle, each person's share is the monthly price divided by the number of people. As of October 2026, the Disney+, Hulu Bundle is $12.99 a month, its Premium version is $21.99, and the Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max bundle is $21.99 with ads and $34.99 without. Each figure below is the largest share. Where a price does not divide evenly, one person pays a cent less so the total is exact.

| Plan | Price a month | 2 people | 3 people | 4 people |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Disney+, Hulu Bundle | $12.99 | $6.50 | $4.33 | $3.25 |
| Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium, or Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max with ads | $21.99 | $11.00 | $7.33 | $5.50 |
| Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max without ads | $34.99 | $17.50 | $11.67 | $8.75 |

These are plain division, not prices Disney charges, and they hold only when everyone in the split is allowed on the plan.

## What happens when the first-6-months price ends?

The monthly price steps up, and so does each person's share. Disney lists the Disney+, Hulu Bundle at $11.99 for the first 6 months, then $12.99, and the Premium version at $19.99 for the first 6 months, then $21.99. Confirm which price your account is on before dividing.

Take three people on the Premium bundle. For the first 6 months, $19.99 divided by 3 means two people pay $6.66 and one pays $6.67. From month 7, it is $7.33 each, about $0.67 more a month. Over the first year the bundle costs 6 times $19.99, which is $119.94, plus 6 times $21.99, which is $131.94, for $251.88. Divided by 3, that is $83.96 each.

## What about HBO Max?

HBO Max can be shared with the people who live with you. For someone outside the household, an Extra Member add-on costs $7.99 a month, with one allowed per account, one profile and one device at a time. The account holder buys it, and it is added to the base HBO Max subscription.

People who signed up through a connected TV, a phone, another provider or a bundle are listed as unable to add an Extra Member, so check how your account was bought. With Standard at $18.49, the account plus an Extra Member is $26.48, which is $13.24 each for two people. With Premium at $22.99 it is $30.98, or $15.49 each. See [HBO Max extra member rules](https://www.evenoutapp.com/guides/hbo-max-extra-member) for who qualifies.

## How do you track it so nobody has to chase anyone?

Say Maya holds the account and shares it with her roommates Leo and Sam. EvenOut keeps the running tab, and nobody sends a bill.

1. **Create the group.** Make a group of the type "Household" and add Leo and Sam.
2. **Add the bill once.** Maya adds the $19.99 charge as "Paid by you" and "Split equally", with the category Subscriptions, and sets "Repeat" to "Monthly". EvenOut adds each later month for her as a normal expense with the same payer and split.
3. **Record repayments.** Leo and Sam each tap "Settle up" and "Record payment" when they pay Maya by whatever method they use. EvenOut records who owes what and does not move money.
4. **Handle the price step.** In month 7, Maya opens "Repeating expenses", taps "Stop repeating", and adds a new repeating expense at $21.99. Expenses already added stay.

Each roommate sees "You owe Maya" with the amount, and Maya sees who owes her, so nobody has to ask where they stand.

## What should you do next?

Count the people who really live in the household, pick the plan that gives them the streams they need, and agree who holds the account. ## Frequently asked questions

### Is it cheaper for a student to take their own plan or join the shared one?

The Disney+, Hulu Bundle with ads is $6.49 a month for verified US students aged 18 or older while enrollment stays verified, then $12.99. A third of the $12.99 bundle is $4.33, so a student in a three-person household on that bundle pays less by joining the shared plan.

### What if one person falls behind on their share?

Add up the months. Three months behind at $7.33 is $21.99. If they send $10, a partial payment, $11.99 is still owed. In EvenOut, "Remind" sends a shared message or a friendly email, at most one a day for each person, and a guest without an inbox gets the shared message instead.

### Who should be the account holder?

Pick the person who will pay on time and stay in the household. Disney's Extra Member page sends the account holder to Subscriptions and Billing to invite one. If the holder moves out, agree before the next bill who pays Disney and who repays whom.

### Can an HBO Max Extra Member pay for their own slot?

They can repay the $7.99 a month, but the account holder purchases the add-on and it is added to the base subscription, so the account holder is the one who pays HBO Max. Track it as part of the same bill or as its own expense with only that person in it.
