As of October 2026, Apple One Family ($27.95 a month) and Premier ($39.95) share with up to five people, so six can split one bill. Apple puts that line on Family and Premier only, not on Individual ($21.95). With six people, Family is $4.66 each and Premier $6.66. With four people it is $6.99 and $9.99.

Key points:
- Apple One Family ($27.95 a month) and Premier ($39.95) share with up to five people. Apple puts that line on Family and Premier only, not on Individual ($21.95).
- Six people pay $4.66 on Family and $6.66 on Premier. Five people pay exactly $5.59 and $7.99.
- Moving up from Family to Premier adds $12.00 a month, which is $2.00 each for six people or $3.00 each for four.
- The organizer must be an adult, and each person can be in only one Family Sharing group at a time.

## Can you share Apple One?

Family and Premier, yes. As of October 2026, Apple's Apple One page lists Individual at $21.95 a month with 50 GB of iCloud+, Family at $27.95 with 200 GB and Premier at $39.95 with 2 TB. Family and Premier say "Share with up to five people." Individual carries no such line. Apple's FAQ says Family and Premier can share all included subscriptions through Family Sharing, and that Apple TV and Apple Arcade include Family Sharing on every plan. So the plans to split are Family and Premier.

## What does each person pay?

Divide the monthly price by the people on the plan. These are US dollars before tax, rounded to the cent.

| People sharing | Family, $27.95 | Premier, $39.95 |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | $9.32 | $13.32 |
| 4 | $6.99 | $9.99 |
| 5 | $5.59 | $7.99 |
| 6 | $4.66 | $6.66 |

Of these head counts, five is the only one that divides both prices exactly. The others leave cents over, so one person's share is a cent lower than the rest. Six people on Family, for example, is five shares of $4.66 and one of $4.65. These are shares of one bill, not prices Apple charges members, and they assume every seat is used.

## What does a year cost?

Apple lists Apple One by the month. Twelve months of Family is $335.40 and of Premier is $479.40. Per person, that comes to:

- **Six people:** $55.90 on Family and $79.90 on Premier.
- **Five people:** $67.08 on Family and $95.88 on Premier.
- **Four people:** $83.85 on Family and $119.85 on Premier.
- **Three people:** $111.80 on Family and $159.80 on Premier.

If the organizer wants repayment once a year, those are the figures to ask for.

## Is Premier worth the extra $12.00 a month?

The jump from Family to Premier is $12.00 a month ($39.95 minus $27.95), or $144.00 over a year. Split across the group, that is $2.00 each for six people, $2.40 for five, $3.00 for four and $4.00 for three. The iCloud+ part of the move is 200 GB to 2 TB. Apple's page shows what else each tier includes.

If only one person needs the 2 TB, the others do not have to pay the Premier rate. Say six people share Premier. The five others pay what they would on Family, $4.66 each, which is $23.30. The person who wants the 2 TB pays the remaining $16.65 of the $39.95. In EvenOut, choose "Exact amounts" and type each amount. The pill shows "All assigned" when they add up to $39.95.

## What are the Family Sharing rules?

Apple's Family Sharing is the group behind its iCloud+ and Apple Music family plans, and its rules decide who can be in your split:

- **Six people at most.** The group is you and up to five other family members.
- **An adult organizer.** One adult sets up the group and invites the others, and the organizer must be an adult.
- **Children under 13.** They need a Child Account.
- **One group at a time.** A person can switch groups once a year, so check that nobody you invite is already in another group.

## How do you split it in EvenOut?

The organizer pays Apple, and EvenOut tracks the repayments.

1. **Make a group** for the plan and add each person. A person who is not on EvenOut yet can be added as a guest and invited later.
2. **Add the bill as an expense.** Set "Paid by" to the organizer, choose "Split equally" and the "Subscriptions" category. Tap a person to leave them out if they are not on the plan.
3. **Set the repeat.** Under "Photo, repeat, pending or note", choose Monthly. The next one is added for you.
4. **Settle up.** Each repayment is recorded in "Settle up", and the group shows who still owes.

Apple One includes iCloud+, so [splitting iCloud+ storage with family](https://www.evenoutapp.com/guides/split-icloud-storage-with-family) explains how that part of the plan shares. [Shared subscription plans compared](https://www.evenoutapp.com/guides/shared-subscription-plans-compared) puts Apple One next to every other family tier, and the [shared plan cost per person calculator](https://www.evenoutapp.com/tools/shared-plan-cost-per-person-calculator) handles any price and head count.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can two parents split Apple One Family when the other members are children?

Yes. The bill is one price, so only the people who repay need to be in the split. Two parents splitting Family pay $13.98 and $13.97, because 2,795 cents does not divide by 2. Apple requires a Child Account for anyone under 13.

### How do we split it unevenly if one person uses more?

Use shares. Say the organizer takes 2 shares and one other person takes 1 on Premier at $39.95. That is 3 shares, so the organizer pays $26.63 and the other person $13.32. Together that is $39.95.

### What happens to the split when someone leaves the plan?

Divide each month's charge by the people on the plan that month. A repeating expense keeps the same payer and split each time, so stop the repeat and add a new one. Expenses already added stay as they were.

### Does EvenOut collect each person's share?

No. EvenOut records who paid and who owes, and Settle up records a repayment, including a partial one. It does not move money, so people repay the organizer the way they already do.
