Is there a Settle Up web app?

Yes. As of October 2026, Settle Up has a web app at settleup.app that opens in a browser, with nothing to download. Its Premium page is on the same address.

How do you sign in to Settle Up on the web?

The web sign-in screen offers three ways in: Google, Apple and email.

  1. Open settleup.app in a browser.
  2. Choose one of the three options on the sign-in screen.
  3. Finish that sign-in. The dialog carries one line of explanation: “Sign in to allow for backup and synchronization of your groups.”

That line is the reason to sign in. It ties the account to backup and sync, so use the account you want your groups stored under. The Settle Up login guide goes through the options, what happened to Facebook login and how to delete an account.

Can friends see a group without installing anything?

Friends can view a group in a browser. As of October 2026, the US store listing says friends can view the balance in their browser “without downloading anything”, and you invite people to a group by link or QR code. A second store listing names “give people read-only access” among the items that are not Premium.

Before you rely on it for a whole trip, send yourself a test link and open it in a browser where you are signed out.

What does Premium cost on the web?

The web Premium page and the US store listing show different prices for the same plans, so name the channel when you quote a price. Individual Premium is a subscription. On the web it is $3.49 a month or $18.99 billed yearly, and in the US store listing it is $3.99 a month or $19.99 a year. Group Premium is a one-time purchase for one group, not a subscription, and on the web it runs from $5.49 for a week to $134.99 for a lifetime. These are dollar prices as of October 2026.

Both store listings say the free version contains ads, and Premium removes them. Is Settle Up free lists every Group Premium length for both channels.

What does the web Premium page list?

The page lists ten Premium items: Remove all ads, Add receipt photos, Expense categories, 7 extra group colors, Recurring transactions, Future transactions, Remind friends to pay, Edit exchange rates in bulk, Export to Excel and Charts. Individual Premium is marked “Cancel anytime”, and Group Premium is marked “Transferable if the group is closed”.

Should a group buy Individual or Group Premium?

It depends on whether people need Premium in other groups too. Say four friends in one trip group all want Premium for a year on the web. Four Individual subscriptions are 4 × $18.99 = $75.96. One Group Premium for a year is $34.99, which is $8.75 for three of them and $8.74 for the fourth.

Settle Up words the difference as Individual Premium “For you in every group” and Group Premium “For every member in one group”.

How does EvenOut compare for a group that wants no ads?

EvenOut’s free plan has no ads. Its charts, its repeating expenses (weekly, monthly or yearly), its reminders and the photo you can attach to an expense are all free. Settle Up’s web Premium page lists those four, plus “Remove all ads”, among its ten items.

If the group is coming from Splitwise, EvenOut’s import is free. It brings in expenses and payments with their dates and currencies, while Settle Up’s tips page describes importing “the current members and their balances”. EvenOut vs Settle Up lines up the two on more than ads, and Settle Up alternatives covers the other apps.
