Can you share a Peacock account? Household and stream limits

4 min read By The EvenOut team

Quick answer

You can share Peacock with people in your household. Peacock defines that as the devices at your primary personal residence, based on where you most regularly watch, and allows up to three concurrent streams. People outside the household sign up for their own account. Premium at $12.99 a month costs $4.33 each when three people split it.

Key points

  • Peacock allows up to three concurrent streams, as of October 2026. A stream is a device playing at one moment, not a person.
  • Select is $8.99 a month, Premium $12.99 and Premium Plus $19.99, plus tax. The yearly prices are $89.99, $129.99 and $199.99.
  • Paying yearly instead of 12 monthly payments saves $17.89 on Select, $25.89 on Premium and $39.89 on Premium Plus.
  • Three people split Premium at $4.33 each a month, or $43.33 each a year. Premium Plus is $6.66, $6.66 and $6.67 a month.

What does Peacock’s household rule say?

Peacock’s help center defines a household as “the collection of devices associated with your primary personal residence based on where you most regularly watch Peacock.” The account is for “your personal, non-commercial use only,” and people outside the household “sign up for their own Peacock account.” That is the rule as of October 2026.

The definition is about a place and a pattern of watching, with no mention of family ties. A device that mostly streams at your home falls inside your household. Someone who mostly watches somewhere else is outside it and signs up for their own account.

How many streams can you run at once?

Peacock allows “up to three concurrent streams on your account.” Three people watching in three rooms use all three, and a fourth stream is over the limit. The count is of devices playing at the same moment, not of people. The glossary entry on concurrent streams explains why that number matters more than the number of people.

Dividing the price by the three streams gives a per-stream figure: Premium is $12.99 / 3 = $4.33 and Premium Plus is $19.99 / 3 = $6.66. These are comparison figures, not prices Peacock charges, so use them to weigh plans and nothing more.

What do the plans cost?

Paying yearly costs less than twelve monthly payments on every plan, and the saving grows with the price. These are the US prices as of October 2026, plus tax. The saving compares the yearly price with twelve monthly payments, which come to $107.88 for Select, $155.88 for Premium and $239.88 for Premium Plus.

Plan Monthly Yearly Yearly saves
Select $8.99 $89.99 $17.89
Premium (with ads) $12.99 $129.99 $25.89
Premium Plus $19.99 $199.99 $39.89

Premium Plus has no ads, with limited exceptions. Ten monthly payments on any of the three plans land about 9 cents under the yearly price, so yearly is cheaper only if the account stays open for 11 months or more.

What does each person pay when three people split it?

Three people at home pay the plan price divided by three, with one cent moved around where it does not divide evenly. Premium comes out exact. The others need one person to pay a cent more or less.

Plan Each of three, monthly Each of three, yearly
Select $3.00, $3.00 and $2.99 $30.00, $30.00 and $29.99
Premium $4.33 each $43.33 each
Premium Plus $6.66, $6.66 and $6.67 $66.66, $66.66 and $66.67

Two people split Premium at $6.50 and $6.49.

How do you split the cost?

One person pays Peacock and the others repay them. In EvenOut, make a “Household” group, add the charge with “Paid by you” and the Subscriptions category, and pick “Split equally”. Set “Repeat” to “Monthly” or “Yearly” and EvenOut adds each later payment automatically. When a housemate pays you, tap “Settle up” to record it. EvenOut tracks who owes what and does not collect the money.

If a housemate is not on EvenOut, add them as a guest. EvenOut tracks their share now, and you can invite them to claim it later.

What should you do next?

Check who watches at your address and how often three people are on at once. If the group cares about ads, compare Premium Plus at $19.99 with Premium at $12.99, a difference of $7.00 a month, and decide who pays it. If someone lives elsewhere, they need their own account under Peacock’s wording. The same question for another service is answered in can you share a Hulu account with family. Frequently asked questions

What if only one person wants Premium Plus and the others are fine with ads?

Split the cheaper plan equally and put the upgrade on the person who wants it. Premium Plus costs $7.00 a month more than Premium ($19.99 minus $12.99). Three people pay $4.33 each for Premium, so the one who upgrades pays $4.33 plus $7.00, which is $11.33, and the others pay $4.33. In EvenOut that is the Exact amounts split, and the pill reads All assigned when the three amounts add up to $19.99. Everyone on the account gets the Premium Plus plan, so some groups split the full $19.99 equally instead, at $6.66, $6.66 and $6.67.

What happens to a yearly split if someone leaves partway through?

Agree the rule before anyone pays. Say three people each pay $43.33 for yearly Premium and one moves out after 4 months. Their unused 8 months are worth $43.33 x 8/12 = $28.89, and the two who stay can repay that between them, $14.45 and $14.44. Settle whether a leaver gets any of it back before the yearly payment goes out.
