Splitwise Pro cost in 2027: plans, billing, where to check

Key points
- EvenOut's free plan has no daily expense limit and no ads. Its paid plan is $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year in the US, for receipt scanning and the assistant only.
- Charts, expense search, recurring expenses and the Splitwise CSV import are free in EvenOut. Splitwise lists charts and search under Pro, as of October 2026.
- Splitwise names three Pro plans (Individual and Duo annually, each with a Trip Pass, and Monthly for one person), and none is described as a lifetime purchase.
- Splitwise's price depends on date, country, local taxes and promotions, so the amount on your purchase screen is the one that counts.
- Where you buy Splitwise Pro, through Apple, Google or Splitwise directly, decides who handles your refund.

What does Splitwise Pro cost?
As of October 2026, Splitwise’s Pro page and its sign-up page list features and no price, period or currency when you are logged out. Its Terms (last updated February 8th, 2024) say the price “may vary due to date of subscription, country, local taxes and regulations, promotions” and can change at Splitwise’s discretion.
For that reason this page gives no dollar figure for Splitwise. It sets EvenOut’s plans beside Splitwise’s, and covers who each one is for, how billing works and how to compare the options once you can see the real amount.
What plans do EvenOut and Splitwise sell?
EvenOut has a free plan and a paid plan at $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year in the US. As of October 2026, Splitwise names three plans, each with every Pro feature, and shows no price for them when you are logged out.
| Plan | What it includes | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| EvenOut free | Every feature except receipt scanning and the assistant, with no daily expense limit and no ads | No charge |
| EvenOut Pro | The free plan plus receipt scanning and the assistant | $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year (US) |
| Splitwise Individual + Trip Pass | Every Pro feature, one person | Once a year |
| Splitwise Duo + Trip Pass | Every Pro feature, two people (the buyer adds the second) | Once a year |
| Splitwise Monthly subscription | Every Pro feature, one person | Every month |
The Trip Pass comes with the two yearly Splitwise plans. The Pro features guide lists what the Splitwise plans include.
Where can you buy it, and why does the channel matter?
You can buy Pro through Apple, through Google, or directly from Splitwise on mobile or on the web. Direct purchases come with a receipt from Stripe.
The channel matters later, not at checkout. It decides who refunds you. A refund for a purchase billed by Apple or Google comes from them. A refund for a direct purchase is requested from Splitwise while you are logged in, and Splitwise says funds should return within 5 to 10 business days. The cancellation guide has the cancel steps and each refund route.
Is there a lifetime or one-time plan?
Not among the plans Splitwise describes. The help center names two annual plans and one monthly plan, and none of them is a lifetime or one-time purchase.
How do you find the price you would actually pay?
The price is the one shown when you subscribe, in your country, on that day. Three facts explain why you cannot look it up in advance:
- Splitwise’s Pro and sign-up pages show no price when you are logged out.
- The Terms tie the price to the date of subscription, your country, local taxes and regulations, and promotions.
- The help article names the billing frequency of each plan and gives no amount.
So the steps are short. Reach the purchase screen for the plan you want, read the amount and the billing period, and approve only if both match what you expect. Keep the receipt. The same applies in every country, because the Terms name country as one of the things the price depends on.
How do you compare the monthly and yearly plans?
Divide the yearly price by the monthly price to get the break-even month. Say the yearly price turns out to be 8 times the monthly price. Then the yearly plan is cheaper if you will keep Pro for more than 8 months, and the monthly plan is cheaper for a one-month trip. If the yearly price is more than 12 times the monthly price, the monthly plan is cheaper for the whole year.
For Duo, divide the Duo price by 2 and compare that with the Individual price. Duo only wins if the second person will really use Pro. The Trip Pass changes the math for a group trip: it gives the members of one trip group Pro features for 30 days, so one yearly buyer can cover a trip without everyone subscribing.
What does EvenOut charge for, and what is free?
EvenOut charges for two things, receipt scanning and the assistant, at $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year in the US. Everything else is free, including several features Splitwise lists under Pro.
| Feature | EvenOut | Splitwise, as of October 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Daily expense limit | None on the free plan | Free plan: up to 4 expenses a day. Pro removes it |
| Ads | None | Ad-free is listed as a Pro feature |
| Charts | Free, by category and over time, per group or friend | Pro |
| Expense search | Free | Pro |
| Receipt scanning | EvenOut Pro | Pro |
If you are comparing Splitwise Pro mainly to get past the 4 expenses a day cap, the EvenOut and Splitwise comparison shows what you would still pay for.
What should you do before you subscribe?
Decide which Pro feature you actually need, then read the amount on the screen for that plan. If the 4 expenses a day cap is the only problem, the daily limit guide lists the free workarounds, and EvenOut’s free plan has no daily expense limit.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I read plan details before I commit?
Splitwise's help article points to the Splitwise Pro section of the Account tab and to its Pro page for details, and questions go to Splitwise support through its contact page. The amount on the screen when you subscribe is the price that applies.
Is there a free month or a promo code?
A separate offer gives new Pro subscribers one free month through an influencer link or code, valid 90 days from the post. It is not a standing trial.
How do I find out where I bought Pro?
Check whether the subscription appears in your Apple or Google subscriptions. If it does not, it was probably bought directly through Splitwise, and you should have a receipt from Stripe.
What does EvenOut Pro add to the free plan?
Two things. Receipt scanning reads a photo of a receipt and itemizes the whole split, sharing tax and tip in proportion to each person's items. The assistant, "Ask EvenOut", answers questions about balances and drafts expenses, payments and groups for you to review. It cannot edit or delete anything, and every change needs your confirmation. Everything else is free.
What does a Splitwise plan include besides the price?
Every plan includes every Pro feature: no cap of 4 expenses a day, transaction import, currency conversion, receipt scanning and itemization, charts, expense search, default splits, an ad-free experience and early access. The two yearly plans add one Trip Pass.
